#FeatureFriday Every Friday, we take a timeout to feature one of our amazing students from all over the globe! This week, we hear from Adam, a Palestinian student we met this summer in our program alongside Palestine Sports For Life. Adam is a truly talented student leader who has much to say!
"For kids my age, my advice would be to always be yourself. Do not be afraid to share what you know and stick up for your thoughts.
"Influencing other people, and leadership, has been always my priority. I am a Palestinian with a deep-rooted culture. Even though I grew up under a difficult circumstances politically, I am an active member in this society and I am one of those people who hope and look towards the future. When I think of the future, I think of the environment and how our world will become in a few years dependable on renewable energy, which is a very fascinating subject that I look forward to studying, as well as engineering.
"I believe that the biggest problem communicating between generations is that kids don’t understand adults, and the problem is that they don’t realize that that most parents only want what’s best for their kids. Kids don’t talk to adults about their problems, thinking that they will not understand, but what they do not know, is that adults have had the same experience and can actually help them."
